Sunday 2nd August 2026

The day started with sunshine but a lack of wind, so racing was postponed for two and a half hours until the sea breeze filled in.

The wind held for most of the race but it eased for the tail enders, and it didn’t look too promising for the final race. However, the OD opted to head out to try and get a start, which didn’t look at all promising with 30 secs to go, but the the wind came back and racing continued. A wind shift, and a rogue Graduate on the start line, resulted in the first general recall of the regatta for the F15s.

The first prize giving of the week will follow, and Heavenly Fish and Chips are on site to feed the weary sailors. Perhaps the fish will aid brain power for the quiz later this evening?

The first prize giving of the week was sponsored by Navigators and General. Their representatives Graham and John Tuckwell were in their own prize list for a 5th in the Flying 15 fleet.
